Terms of Service
The plain-language terms for using the tests on this site.
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of ReactionTime (the "site") and the browser-based tests it provides. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Using the site
ReactionTime is free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may take the tests, share links to them, and reference your results. You agree not to:
- Disrupt, overload or attempt to break the site or its infrastructure.
- Copy, scrape or republish substantial portions of the content as your own.
- Use automated tools to interact with the tests in a way that degrades them for others.
- Use the site in any unlawful way or to infringe someone else's rights.
The tests are for information and entertainment
The tests measure things like reaction time, clicking speed, memory and attention, and the benchmark ranges we provide are general guidance drawn from widely reported figures. They arenot medical, psychological, diagnostic or professional assessments, and should not be used as such. Your results depend heavily on your hardware and conditions, so treat them as a bit of fun and a way to track your own progress, not as a clinical measurement.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may change, suspend or discontinue any test or the whole site at any time without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReactionTime and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Because the service is provided free of charge, you use it at your own risk.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text, and the tests themselves are ours unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to link to the site and reference it, but you may not copy or reproduce its content wholesale without permission.
Third-party content
If we display advertising or embed third-party services, that content is the responsibility of the parties providing it, and their own terms and policies apply. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
