What is a good keyboard reaction time?
You have to read which key is being asked for and then find it, so this sits slightly behind a simple click-on-green result despite the shorter finger travel.

Reading the numbers: Where the key sits matters as much as your reflexes — a home-row key is tens of milliseconds quicker than a far corner. Hardware adds its own share: mechanical switches with short actuation and a 1000 Hz polling rate register sooner than a membrane keyboard, and wireless adds a few milliseconds on top.

How the keyboard reaction time test works
Press any key to arm the test, then wait. After a random delay aletter appears on the keycap — press that exact key as fast as you can. The timer measures the gap between the letter appearing and your keypress.
Because you have to read the letter and find it before pressing, this is arecognition reaction rather than a simple one, so expect times a little above a plain click-on-green test. Pressing the wrong key, or pressing before the cue, counts as a miss and restarts the attempt.

Is keyboard reaction time faster than mouse reaction time?
For most people they're close, but a keypress often registers slightly faster than a mouse click because the travel distance is shorter. Keyboard polling rate and switch type both affect the result.
Which keys are fastest to press?
Keys already under your resting fingers — the home row — are consistently quickest, because there is no searching and no hand movement involved. Reaching for a number-row key or a far corner can add 50–150ms of travel and hunting. That is why the same person's result swings depending on which key comes up.
